SWIFT AND SURE SANCTIONS PROBATION PROGRAM (SSSPP)
The 30th Circuit Court Swift and Sure Sanctions Probation Program (SSSPP) is an intensive supervision probation program focusing on high risk felony probationers. The primary goals of the SSSPP are to reduce:
drug use, new crime, missed appointments in probation, probation revocations and incarceration rate.
This is achieved through the key concepts of program fairness and sanctions that are swift, certain, consistent and proportionate. Probationers are informed during an Initial Hearing of the terms of their probation and of the consequences for violating those terms. Thereafter, probationers are closely monitored and sanctioned for every probation violation within 72 hours after the violation is reported to the Court.
The 30th Circuit Court Swift and Sure Sanctions Probation Program is presided over by the Honorable Clinton Canady III. The SSSPP Case Management Coordinator is Lynne Armstrong. Supervision and treatment coordination are conducted by representatives of the 30th Circuit Court, Michigan Department of Corrections specialized Probation Agents, and Ingham County Community Corrections.
